Perl, an interpreted high-level programming language, has become the premier scripting language of the Web, as most CGI programs are written in Perl. However, Perl is widely used a as a rapid prototype language and a "glue" that makes it possible for different systems to work well together. Perl is popular with system administrators who use it for an infinite number of automation tasks. Here at CNS, we can assist in the development and deployment of your applications written in Perl.

XML is a markup language for documents contatining structured information. XML was created so that richly structured documents could be used over the web. The only viable alternatives, HTML and SGML, are not practical for this purpose.
Intra-Company application integration with XML:
It is estimated that between 30%-70% of the cost of implementing an ERP or CRM system goes to the work required to integrate them with existing legacy systems. This is substantial considering that typical implementation costs run in exess of $100k. Using XML to exchange data between systems without needing to match object models, or redesign database schemas, can mean that much of that cost could be avoided. CNS works with your organization on converting existing business information to XML enabled workflow transactions to leverage this new technology.

Active Server Pages (ASP) is a technology created by Microsoft that allows the creation of dynamic Internet sites without the use of slow or clumsy CGI programs. It is now possible to create a web site that requires frequent updating by storing all of the site's data and graphical elements in a server side database such as Microsoft SQL or any other ODBC compliant database.
ASP development allows customization of information for visitors, allowing customers to search databases and retrieve up-to-the-minute information about a company and its products. It can also be used to retrieve information from customers, allowing trend analysis and better customer support and service
An ASP application should be considered anytime the data on the site is frequently changing. An example of this would be an on-line catalog with product and pricing changes or a membership roster. By creating an ASP application, CNS can develop a template for the whole site or just the section that needs to have content generated dynamically. From that point on, all that is needed is the update of content in the database and the ASP application will do the rest.
